Burlington Area School District issued the following announcement on Oct. 10
The Burlington Area School District School Board accepted several donations from local businesses, organizations, and individuals at its October 11, 2021 school board meeting.
The district received 40 backpacks with school supplies from WolfPack M.C. Kenosha that will be distributed to the elementary schools. Denise Klatt-Wheaton donated backpacks, school supplies, and recess supplies for elementary schools.
Burlington High School received several donations. WBSD 89.1 FM is grateful for its generous sponsors: Community State Bank, Musicology, Greenwood State Bank, Schuette-Daniels, Fred's Parkview, The Jewelry Center, Burlington Dairy Queen, Performance Tire and Auto, Jackson Wine LLC, Merten's Auto and Towing, and Perfection Auto Body, Inc. Five individuals/businesses (Anderson Chiropractic, Bear Realty, Miller Motors, Scott Hoffman, Becky Sagedal) sponsored the purchase of special t-shirts for first-responders to wear during the 9-11 remembrance ceremony. Donations were also received for food for the volleyball tournament, the dance team, and FFA.
Cooper Elementary School received dilly bars from Burlington Dairy Queen to serve during their Generosity Week Celebration.
