Southeast Wisconsin residents are invited to attend listening sessions with State Rep. Bryan Steil (WI-01) on Tuesday Aug. 3 to discuss important issues impacting Wisconsin’s First Congressional District or to request assistance in dealing with federal agencies.
Steil will hold six different listening sessions across the southeast Wisconsin region that are all free and open to members of the public.
“Our upcoming listening sessions in all six counties of the First Congressional District are part of my commitment to be available and accessible to the residents of Southeast Wisconsin,” Steil said in a statement.
Individuals needing additional assistance or special accommodations to attend the listening sessions should contact Steil's office at (608) 752-4050. Both the Kenosha and Racine sessions will have capacity limits due to the venues and their restrictions.
"I look forward to hearing directly from you about the issues facing our community, our state and our country," Steil wrote in an Aug. 1 Twitter post.
Steil recently joined his fellow GOP members in sending a letter to U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Acting Inspector General Larry Turner calling for an investigation of potential waste, fraud and abuse in the state's unemployment system.
