County and local authorities are monitoring the Fox River as water levels are expected to rise following recent flooding in Waukesha and Milwaukee. In response, dams in Waterford and Rochester have been opened to maintain a minimum flow and help keep river levels low while floodwaters from areas including Waukesha, Muskego, and Milwaukee move south over the coming weeks.

Officials stated that there is currently no expectation for Waterford to reach flood stage levels. However, they will continue to provide updates if conditions change. Residents are encouraged to sign up for Notify Me Emergency Alerts on the Village of Waterford website to stay informed about river-related issues such as potential flooding.

The public can view current water levels at monitored dam locations through resources provided by local authorities.
