On Friday, Feb. 28, former Union Grove High School standout Josh Degroot’s current college team, the McNeese State Cowboys, won 5-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Nicholls State Colonels.

The game took place at Joe Miller Ballpark. This was their first matchup against the Colonels this season.

The Cowboys’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 2 p.m. at Joe Miller Ballpark against Nicholls State Colonels.
