The holiday season is already in full bloom at O&H Danish Bakery.
CBS58.com reports the Racine-based, family-owned establishment that is known across the country for its fall specials has announced another fall special, a limited edition holiday flavor Christmas Cookie Kringle. While company officials said they have been producing their butter-cookie filled, vanilla and cookie-paste version of Kringle covered with festive frosting and sprinkles for 73 years, this Christmas variant is a limited edition that will only be sold through Dec. 31.
The bakery is also now offering a Thanksgiving Kringle option, which consists of a “stuffed” Kringle with pecan and cranberry filling or another option of the Brandy Old Fashioned Kringle that's flavored with brandy, caramel and cherries with a little vanilla icing and orange zest.
Owned by the Olsen family, O&H first opened its doors in 1949, and over the years Christian Olsen, who came to U.S. as a teenager and went to work in a Racine bakery, taught his family how to make many of the pastries it's now famous for. The family-owned establishment now spans four generations of owners, its website said.
