City of Monroe issued the following announcement on June 9.
The East side of the Square and inside South lane of the Square will be blocked off from 3:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. on the following dates:
Friday, June 10, 2022
Thursday, June 30, 2022
Friday, July 15, 2022
Friday, July 29, 2022
Saturday, August 13, 2022
A three (3) block radius from the Square will see increased traffic with little or no parking spaces available due to the event. City parking lots will also see increased use and traffic for people attending this event.
Traffic flow ahead of the event will be severely limited between 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on the main arterials surrounding the Square. It is recommended that commuters and people conducting business find alternate routes to avoid traffic delays during this time.
There are no special parking restrictions in place outside the area of the Square as a result of this event.
People attending the event may find parking available on city lots located in the following areas:
1100 block of 15th Avenue
Intersection of 15th Avenue and 11th Street
Intersection of 16th Avenue and 8th Street
Intersection of 9th Street and 18th Avenue
Intersection of 12th Street and 16th Avenue
