Racine County recently announced that it is holding a youth sports expo on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Racine Family YMCA in Mount Pleasant.
According to a press release, the county is partnering with Racine Family YMCA, Racine Unified School District, Village of Mount Pleasant, City of Racine and Village of Sturtevant to hold this event.
"This youth sports expo is not just about how you get your kids involved in youth sports, but it’s talking about what are the factors that we can encourage youth sports in our community," Racine County Executive Jonathan Delagrave said in a video posted to Facebook on Nov. 3. "As we all know, youth sports is a foundational step in promoting a healthy county and healthy families."
There will be organizations and booths with information on sports opportunities, coaching, classes and leagues for all ages.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be open to members of the public of all ages free of charge.
The county is accepting applications for sponsors and booths here. Visitors can receive more information about presentations, promotions or sponsorships, or other questions by calling M.T. Boyle at 262-977-1186 or by email at mt.boyle@racinecounty.com.
