Village of Caledonia Police Department issued the following announcement on May 27.
Remember, everything on the schedule is tentative.....weather and other uncontrollable factors can alter the timing.
Lane switchover- now scheduled for Friday the 28th. Memorial day weekend traffic will be driving on the new pavement. With this weekend being a high volume travel holiday, work on the project will resume on Tuesday.
Milling should start on Wednesday, June 2nd.
The closure of Northwestern Avenue in Racine east of Rapids should be open by June 7th. This was a culvert replacement.
The bridge closures on 38 over the railroad tracks and the Root River is still on for June 14th. The signs go up the day before on the 13th. We have asked for a barricades with "NO THRU TRAFFIC" to be placed at the entrances to the Caddy Vista Subdivision. We know this will be a disruption to many places in the northwest part of the Village so we are working with the D.O.T. to mitigate the impact.
