Summer fun is alive and well in Racine, and Real Racine representative Cari Greving is among those basking in the celebration.
On the heels of the city’s 86th July 4 annual 100-unit, 2.6-mile parade that included floats, cars, horses and plenty of candy treats—which some tout as largest parade in the country—Greving is already counting down the days until other July festivities. Fourth Fest in Racine also featured fireworks and a pre-party on July 3.
Less than a week later on July 9, Margarita Fest—tailored to the adults of the community and hosted by the zoo—is set to take place, and various dates throughout the month are set for residents to give Alpaca yoga in Racine a try.
As part of Margarita night, all the best margaritas from Racine will be on hand for tasting along the lakefront as live music from Johnny Russler & The Beach Bum Band plays, leading up to a competition for the best drink.
Hosted by Chloe Wright, the one-of-a-kind Alpaca yoga events at the Eco-Justice Center will offer participants a chance to do yoga in an alpaca field, spend some time with the animals and just relax while exercising their bodies.
