For the second straight year, the Racine Zoo is set to host its Music at the Zoo concert series, with Chicago Tribute Anthology, Grimm Brothers and Substitute: Tales From The Who serving among this year’s headline acts.

This year’s event is scheduled for June 17, and a crowd of all ages are expected to be on hand along the Lake Michigan shoreline.

“I am so excited for the Music at the Zoo concerts this season,” Racine Zoo Executive Director Beth Heidorn told TMJ4.com. “We have some amazing artists that will be performing at the Zoo, and we want you to join us.”

The first show is slated to kick off at 7 p.m., with Chicago Tribute Anthology scheduled to be among the first acts to take the stage. The Grimm Brothers and Substitute: Tales From The Who are set to among the first rockers hitting the stage for Saturday’s 5:30 p.m. start.

On its website, the Racine Zoo touts itself as being “home to some of the world’s most remarkable and endangered wildlife.

In recent times, the facility was voted “Best Place to Take Kids” in Racine County 2021, “Best Place for Summer Jobs” in Racine County 2021, Hometown Favorite for “Best Place to Work” in Racine County 2021,  Hometown Favorite for “Best Family Fun” in Racine County 2021, “Top Place to Take Kids In and Around Milwaukee” 2021 and “Most Loved Place to Go” 2022.

Established in 1923 by Jacob Stoffel Jr., the zoo now welcomes more than 140,000 guests each year. Currently, the facility houses in the neighborhood of 75 different species and over 300 individual animals from Wisconsin and around the world.
